SLMC Internship Digital Evaluation System
Guidelines for Hospital Directors
The SLMC Internship Digital Evaluation System enables Hospital Directors to manage intern assignments, update internship information, monitor evaluations, and complete required hospital-level actions through an online platform.
Hospital Directors play an important role in ensuring that the internship details of Intern Medical Officers are correctly maintained within the system.
Access to the System
If you are a Hospital Director, SLMC will provide your username and password to the email address registered with the Sri Lanka Medical Council.
Please use the credentials provided by SLMC to access the system.
If you have not received your credentials or experience a login issue, please contact the SLMC IT Support Team.
What You Can Do Through the System
As a Hospital Director, you can:
- View Intern Medical Officers assigned to your hospital.
- Review intern information and internship details.
- Assign Intern Medical Officers to the relevant Speciality / Unit.
- Assign Intern Medical Officers to relevant Supervisory Consultants.
- Update relevant internship assignment information.
- Monitor the progress of internship evaluations.
- Monitor pending evaluations and required actions.
- Review internship completion-related information.
- Complete and submit required hospital-level approvals to the SLMC Internship Unit.
Assigning Intern Medical Officers
Hospital Directors are responsible for ensuring that the relevant internship details are updated in the system.
For the 1st Six-Month Internship, the Hospital Director can update the relevant Supervisory Consultant, Speciality, and Unit details during the applicable period.
After the 1st Six-Month Internship, the Hospital Director can assign the Intern Medical Officer for the 2nd Six-Month Internship and update the relevant details.
Please ensure that the information entered is accurate and relates to the correct Intern Medical Officer.
